Counselling centre or Psychotherapy

It is unfortunate that society still stigmatizes mental health and mental health management today. It is common for many people who could benefit from counseling to avoid it for fear of judgment and ridicule from family, friends, and peers. We at Brain care hospital are here to end this stigma and to rewrite mental health’s narrative. Having extra guidance and support is beneficial to everyone, and we strongly believe everybody can benefit from therapy. Our mental health professionals are committed to helping every person live their best lives.

Psychotherapy aims to resolve problems or raise functioning by exploring thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. Psychiatric therapy aims to improve an individual’s sense of well-being. The role of a psychotherapist is to employ a range of therapeutic techniques aimed at improving the mental health or the relationships of a client or patient (for example, in the family). The objective of psychotherapy is to help individuals resolve or reduce emotional or mental health issues by discussing how they feel, think, and react to challenges in life.

Brain care hospital provides a comprehensive array of counseling services so our patients can receive the assistance they need. We realize that the two cases are never the same, so we adopt different approaches for different situations.

To offer our patients these options, we do the following:

FAMILY COUNSELING

Family issues sometimes require the assistance of a third party who can provide objective guidance. Families may confront problems in an effective and respectful manner through family counseling sessions.

INDVIDUAL COUNSELING

An individual counseling session is the best option for those who wish to speak with a therapist one-on-one. Faith Hospital is a safe and welcoming place where you’re empowered to share freely about your problems and struggles. After discussing your symptoms with your counselor, you can determine which coping skills and tools are needed to deal with conditions such as disruptive mood dysregulation disorder, PTSD, Bipolar Disorder etc.

GROUP COUNSELING

There are several benefits to attending group counseling. As a participant, you will learn how to improve your own situation from the experiences of others. During your time at Faith Hospital, you will make new friends that can help you in the future.

ADOLESCENT COUNSELING

Patients under the age of 18 require a separate approach from those over the age of 18. They require counseling that does not cover more mature topics since they lack life experience.

PSYCHOANALYSIS & PSYCHODYNAMIC THERAPIES

The aim of this method is to find out the unconscious motivations and meanings of problematic behaviors, feelings, and thoughts. Therapy which is psychoanalytically oriented emphasizes a partnership between therapist and patient. Interactions within the therapeutic relationship enable patients to gain insight into themselves. Sigmund Freud established psychoanalysis, but its concepts have been influenced and expanded since his early formulations.

COGNITIVE THERAPY

Psychotherapists emphasize people’s thoughts rather than their actions in cognitive therapy. A dysfunctional outlook or mindset leads to dysfunctional emotions or behaviors, according to cognitive therapists. Individuals can modify how they feel and act by changing how they think. The cognitive therapy movement includes major figures such as Albert Ellis and Aaron Beck.

HUMINISTIC THERAPY

Taking an individual-centred approach to learning and development, we emphasize the importance of rational decisions and developing a person’s full potential. During therapy, a therapist emphasizes concern and care for their clients. Free will, self-determination, and the quest for meaning are at the core of existential therapy. A holistic or integrated approach to treatment. The majority of therapists do not adhere to one specific approach. Rather, they adapt their treatment according to the individual needs of their clients by blending elements from several different approaches.

Anger Management

Anger generates negative emotions that can provoke us to injure others. When anger manifests negatively person can feel:

  • Symptoms of panic
  • Accelerated heart beat
  • Blood pressure can rise activating higher levels of adrenaline.
  • Alcohol or substance use
  • Highly erratic or unusual behavior
  • Paranoid thinking
  • Not taking prescribed psychiatric medications
  • Being emotionally distraught, extremely depressed, angry, anxious, irritable to the point of not being able to carry out daily activities

When we become angry and excited we can experience black outs and dangerously hurt love ones, friends, or even strangers who cross our path. It is for these reasons that participants be assisted with managing their emotions. They can successfully be trained to control their feelings at a critical time and prevent serious consequences, such as being charged with assault and battery while facing jail time.
